Larry McDonough saw Bill Evans perform in the 1970s, and Joel Shapira met Jim Hall when he lived in New York City. They will perform music from their new live recording celebrating the music of pianist Bill Evans and guitarist Jim Hall. "Intermodulating Undercurrents Live at the Kos: The Music of Bill Evans and Jim Hall" was recorded at a show during the pandemic to an outside social distance audience on October 3, 2021, on the patio of the Kos in Minneapolis, hosted by owners Kathy Kosnoff and Lyonel Norris.

Included will be pieces from the classic Evans and Hall recordings "Undercurrent" and "Intermodulation" along with pieces that Evans and Hall performed separately that they might have included in another recording had Bill Evans lived longer, and pieces written by Larry and Joel in the spirit of Evans and Hall.
