Saturday, September 30, 7:30 p.m., Leigh Kamman Legacy Project Presents the First Edition of “Leigh Kamman Classic Originals” at Jazz Central. This monthly series on the last Saturday of the month features local groups playing one set of music of a classic jazz artist, followed by a presentation of Leigh Kamman’s interviews with the subject, ending with one more set of original music.

Tonight’s show is “Tony Bennett, Bill Evans, and Leigh Kamman.” The Larry McDonough Quartet (LMQ) will perform a set of material from the popular show “You Must Believe in Spring: Tony Bennett and Bill Evans 40 Years Later,” Brad Bellows will present Leigh Kamman interviews with Bennett and Evans, and LMQ will finish with a set of original odd-metered music. LMQ is Larry McDonough, piano and vocals, Richard Terrill, saxes and poetry, Greg Stinson, bass, and Dean White, drums.
