Award-winning pianist, composer, and singer Larry McDonough brings legendary pianist and composer Bill Evans back to life with the CD release of Conversations with Bill Evans Live, recorded at The Back Room and other clubs around the country.
The solo show will cover the music and personal life of Bill Evans that has filled rooms across the country. The show includes piano and voice, spoken word, and commentary on the life of Bill Evans.
Evans performed on the Miles Davis album "Kind of Blue" in 1959, the best-selling jazz album ever. His trio with bassist Scott LaFaro and drummer Paul Motian introduced simultaneous improvisation and is regarded as a seminal modern jazz trio. He received 31 Grammy nominations and seven awards, and was inducted into the DownBeat Jazz Hall of Fame. 
McDonough will perform selections from the CD in the first set. Vocalist Lorin Bond will join him in the second set. McDonough will add songs from his show You Must Believe in Spring - The Music of Tony Bennett and Bill Evans.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Children under 12 are free.

Larry McDonough returns to Berlin to perform a new show with the Larry McDonough Quintet, featuring the music of classic trumpeters, including Don Ellis, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Lee Morgan, Freddie Hubbard, Clifford Brown, and others. Larry McDonough packed Berlin with shows of the music of the Bill Evans Trio, Dexter Gordon, and release of the CD Best of the Aster Classic Jazz Series.
