In the mood for a little jazz in remembrance of Paul Wellstone? Larry McDonough, jazz pianist and singer, is having a CD release party that will benefit Wellstone Action, an organization formed to carry on the work of the Wellstones.

He will perform selections from the CD, as well as songs from his previous CD.

The new CD, "Tuscarora: Short Stories for Jazz Piano" is dedicated to the memory of Paul and Sheila Wellstone, Marcia Wellstone Markuson, Mary McEvoy, Tom Lapic and William McLaughlin. It includes jazz interpretations of "My Favorite Things," "Tuscarora," and "God Bless America."

McDonough has played for the likes of President Nixon and Hillary Clinton during the 30 years he has performed. His interests, beside music, include law, as he also works as a tenant's attorney and was deemed one of the "Hundred Who Made a Difference" by the William Mitchell College of Law.

The party will be held from 7-10 p.m. Saturday at Liquid Assets in Sartell.
